What is the difference between microblading and micropigmentation?
Microblading is hair-strokes created by a tiny blade applying semi-permanent pigment to the brow area to copy the look of real hair.
Micro-pigmentation is a soft powder effect which creates a natural effect or a more defined effect, this fills in the full eyebrow. This technique must be considered if you powder your eyebrows with eyebrow shadow or pencil.
Is the procedure painful?
A mild anaesthetic cream is applied to reduce any discomfort and to make the procedure as comfortable as possible for you.
Will it look natural?
Both procedures are very natural, but if you wish for a more defined look then that can be achieved with micro-pigmentation. This can be discussed through a consultation along with all the different pigments that are available to go with your natural colouring.
Do you need a consultation?
Yes, this is mandatory. The consultation enables me to go into detail about the procedure and if you are able to undergo the procedure. You can fill in a medical form and receive a patch test during this and discuss your preferred look and pigment choice.
Can I go out after the procedure?
Yes, of course. Your eyebrows will be slightly darker for the first week until they heal. There is aftercare advice which we can discuss and send on to you but there is no need to stop your daily business.
Is it a safe procedure?
Of course, all products are mineral based, non toxic and all hypoallergenic. A patch test is required, all sterile blades and needles are disposed of safely and only ever single used.
